Rugby fans are set for an exciting night this Saturday, August 24th, as the Southland Stags take on Taranaki in a special match at Rugby Park, Invercargill. This event, part of the ILT 80th Anniversary celebrations, promises a thrilling evening filled with rugby action and a post-match fireworks display.
The match kicks off at 7:05 PM, with gates opening at 6:20 PM. Ticket prices are reasonable, with adults paying $20, and two children under 14 admitted free with each adult ticket. Additional children’s tickets are available for $8. Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets online through Ticketek or at the Civic Theatre or ICC Booking Office.

Following the match, the celebrations continue with a performance by Sam Cullen and a stunning fireworks display scheduled for around 8:45 PM. In case of unfavourable weather conditions, particularly strong winds, the fireworks will be rescheduled to September 13th during the Stags’ game against Canterbury.
Traffic management will be in place around the stadium, so fans are advised to plan ahead and expect some delays. The Bridge Club/Pipeband Hall Car Park off Elles Road will be closed to the public after 6 PM, with any remaining cars towed.
