Jesco Hydraulics acknowledged 14 of its long-service staff members with a special function last week.
Between them they have 294 years of knowledge and experience, and it was their loyalty to the company that was recognised.
“it’s quite unheard of to have so many staff with such a long tenure with the same company these days,” employee Chantel Smolenski said.
“It shows testament to the fact the company’s values are so strong.”
Jesco Hydraulics has been operating in Southland for over 60 years, and under the current ownership since 1987.
The company employs 35 staff across all branches – the head office is in Invercargill with branches in Cromwell, Dunedin and Bluff.
Chantel, who has also been with the company since 2001, said although the name suggests they are purely a hydraulics and pneumatics company, Jesco is very diverse and operates parts and sales from its store in Bond Street where they carry more than 5000 products in stock, such as orings, seals, hose and fittings, filters, valves, motors, pumps and lubricants.
“Our internal service workshop undertakes the repairs and maintenance of hydraulics and pneumatics for many industries such as the farming sector, dairy, meat works, forestry, fishing/marine, mining/exploration, hydro-generation, orchards/food produce, transport, crane servicing, NZAS, and the tourism sector.”
External service staff complete work onsite for customers undertaking repairs and design or attending to time sensitive breakdowns, and we have a dedicated mobile hose repair service available 24/7.
Thank you and Congratulations to all our staff, in particular to those who have completed 10 years plus of service to Jesco Hydraulics.
