Homicide Probe After Clutha Woman Dies

Police have launched a homicide investigation after the death of a woman in Crichton, Clutha on Thursday evening.

Emergency services were called to a property on Adams Flat Road at around 6:10pm, where a woman was found dead. A man was also found injured and remains in hospital in a critical condition.

Detective Sergeant Hayden Smale said, “A homicide investigation has been launched following the death of a woman in Crichton, Clutha last night.”

“A man remains in a critical condition in hospital following the incident.”

A police scene guard remains at the property while forensic staff carry out a full scene examination.

Smale added, “Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident remain ongoing.”

“There is not believed to be any risk to public safety following this incident.”

Locals in Crichton can expect to see more police in the area over the next few days.

“The Crichton community can expect to see an increased Police presence in the area while these enquiries are carried out.”
