The new harness racing season is well underway with several midweek meetings already completed at both Ascot Park Raceway in Invercargill and Central Southland Raceway in Winton.
The bigger events of the season are yet to come however and Southern Harness Racing are busy preparing for the height of the season.
The Northern Southland Trotting Club meeting at Ascot Park Raceway in Invercargill on Saturday 10 October is the first Saturday meeting of the season while later that month (Thursday 29 October) a twilight meeting at Ascot Park Raceway will see the hosting of some of the premier races that were unable to be held at the end of last season due to lockdown.
Following that meeting there is a busy period and Southern Harness Racing are offering some special deals on sponsorship this season, including added value packages for those who commit early and individual packages for people who love the sport that would like a race named after them. The individual packages are also suitable for gifts.
Southern Harness Racing are also currently taking bookings from groups, clubs and businesses looking for a day out with a difference in one of their corporate hosting areas although the sport is obviously working within ongoing Alert Levels and only forging ahead with bookings when safe to do so.
Anyone wanting to discuss any aspect of a day at the races or sponsorship should contact Lindsay Beer, Promotions Officer, Southern Harness Racing, 021 351 499 or [email protected]
