Police are responding to an incident in Gore after reports of gunshots.

A Police spokeswoman confirmed to whatsoninvers.nz that cordons are in place and AOS will be attending as a precaution.

Messages to the What’s On Invers Facebook page suggested that gangs were involved.

We have requested more information from police.
