  • Ardern said it is clear what New Zealand has done since the Covid-19 outbreak here is making a difference.
  • Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says the cases in New Zealand have grown, but are steady and we haven’t seen exponential growth other countries have experienced, overwhelming their health systems.
  • The Marist College cluster has 66 cases and is the largest in New Zealand.
    Of the total cases, 35 percent have a clear international travel link, 36 percent are contacts of known cases and there is confirmed community transmission in one percent of cases. Eighteen percent are under investigation
  • A total of 36,209 tests have been carried out, including 3093 carried out yesterday.
  • Thirteen people are in hospital. Three are in intensive care and two of them are in a critical condition.
  • There are a total of 1039 Covid-19 cases
  • One hundred and fifty six people have now recovered
  • There are 89 new cases – 48 confirmed and 41 probable.
