Gore Police Investigate Child’s Driveway Death

Police have confirmed that a three-year-old child has died after being struck by a vehicle in a residential driveway in Gore. The tragic incident occurred at around 6:30pm on 1 January.

The child was taken to Gore Hospital, but sadly, they passed away shortly after arriving.

“Our thoughts are with the child’s family at this sad time,” Police said.

Following a detailed investigation at the scene, including assistance from ESR, Police have determined that the death is not being treated as suspicious.

The investigations team will continue working on behalf of the Coroner to ensure all necessary enquiries are completed.
