Hole in one
Paul Adams shot a hole in one at Invercargill Golf Club on Saturday – also recording a score better than his age with a gross of 69.
Junior Christmas Tournament
More than 20 youngst golfers enjoyed the Speedy Signs-sponsored Junior Christmas tournament at Invercargill Golf Club on Monday.
Keeley Anderson won the girls section, Kevin Bang won the handicap boys section, Will Carson won the non-handicap boys section and Mitchell Kett won the boys section off the red tees.
A great day out and good to see youngsters enjoying the game so much.
Southland Strokeplay Championships
The Southland Strokeplay Championships will be played at SBS Bank Invercargill Golf Club on January 18 and 19.
The 54 hole championships (men and women) include 36 holes on the Saturday and 18 on the Sunday, while there is also a 36 hole seniors competition, which will include 18 holes on Saturday and 18 on Sunday.
The championships, together with the Otago and Canterbury Strokeplay Championships, form the House of Travel Tour Series which has prizes up for grabs for those entering all three.

Southland Junior Championships
All junior golfers are encouraged to take part in the Southland Junior Championship.
The tournament tees off on Thursday 23 January at SBS Bank Invercargill Golf Club and includes an 18 hole event, for those that hold a handicap, and a nine hole event for those without one.
