Premier

Woodlands ran in a convincing win for the Scruffy Butt Shield against Star. Once again proving they are the team to beat in the Galbraith Shield Final on August 15th.

Blues banked an upset 29-22 win to add some confidence into the camp after what has been a challenging season for the defending champions given the number of injuries they have had.

Marist now sits third (25 points) on the ladder but the problem for it is that it has Woodlands to play in its final outing.

While second place Pirates-Old Boys (27 points) and fourth place Star (22 points) will play each other which means one of those teams is likely to at least bank four points.

If teams are tied on points it will come down to which team has the most flag points in the games played between those two teams.

Pirates-Old Boys banked an important 14-10 win over the Eastern-Northern Barbarians on Saturday after trailing 5-0 at halftime.

This weekend Marist take on Woodlands, Star take on Pirates Old Boys and the Baba’s host Blues.

Midlands have secured a home final following their 25-12 win at home over Wyndham, the question is who will be joining them in the Ack Soper Shield final?

Te Anau and Edendale sit joint  in second (24 points), following Edendale’s win over Te Anau on Saturday. It all comes down to Te Anau v Waikaka and Edendale v Midlands this weekend.

If both Te Anau and Edendale win this weekend and finish joint on points, it will come down to which team has the most flag points in the games played between those two teams.

In the Gerald Dermody Shield who will play who in the final comes down to this coming rounds results. Pioneer sit top on 29 points, with Tokanui and Waikiwi on 24 points.  Pioneer take on Waikiwi while Tokanui go head to head with Albion this Saturday.
