Passed peacefully at Southland Hospital on Saturday 20 September, 2025 aged 81 years. Loved husband of Valda. Loved father and father-in-law of Geoffrey and Rosemary, Phillip and Alexis, Christopher and Paula. Loved grandfather of his 11 grandchildren. At Neville's request a private ceremony will be held. HENDERSON, Maurice Raymond (Mo):
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at Hospice Southland on Sunday 21 September 2025, aged 73 years. Dearly loved husband of Dianne for 54 years. Much loved father and father in law of Justin and Deb, and Julie and Brent Forbes. Adored Pop of Maddie, Conor, Alex, Alycia, Tom, and Lily. Loved brother and brother in law of Alan*, Gail and Trevor Horrell, Janice and Marty O’Driscoll, Bryan and Flo* Smith. Loved son of the late Bill and Mavis Henderson. Loved son in law of Alice and Tom* Smith. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Southland would be greatly appreciated and can be left at Maurice’s service. Family sincerely thank Tarryn Keith – Murihiku Medical Centre, Hospice Southland staff and Professor Chris Jackson for their care and compassion of Maurice. Maurice will be at home from Wednesday with his family. Passed away peacefully on 19th September 2025 in his 88th year. Dearly loved and devoted husband of Dawn, wonderful father and father-in-law of Simon and Susan, Shane and Robyn, Mark, Lisa, Sarah and Leon. A much-loved Grandad to Rueben, Olivia and Laura, Rebecca and Lara, Azaleon, Ocean and Allegra. A much-loved great grandad to Theo, Archie, Finn and Isaac. Gone to be with the Saviour he loved and lived for. A service to celebrate Don’s life will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church, 689 Tweed Street, Newfield, Invercargill at 1.30pm, Saturday 27th September 2025. WINNING, Jean:
Has passed away on Sunday 21st September 2025. Aged 104 years, 11 months and 8 days. Much loved wife of the late Ron. Loving mother of Sharon and Christine, mother-in-law, grandmother and adored great grandmother. A loved and respected aunt and friend of many. Jean is the last of six children to pass away of the late John Kennedy (JK) and Elizabeth Morton Stevenson. Thank you to those staff at Rowena Jackson who went above and beyond in their care of Jean over the last 15 years. A heartfelt thanks to Dr Stout. Jean appreciated your visits and care shown to her and for her. There are not enough words to thank the staff at J Fraser and Sons and Winton and Districts Funeral Services. Owing to family travelling, a farewell celebration will be held in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, cnr. Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill on Monday 20th October at 11am.
