MARTIN, Gwendolyn Isabel (Gwen):
With heavy hearts we announce after a courageous battle Gwen peacefully passed away aged 64 in the loving arms of family on the 25th September 2025 in Brisbane, Australia. Gwen leaves behind her loved children shared with Paul Scobie, Ricki, Michelle and Rikki Johnstone. Her precious grandchildren Tahleigha, Jayden, Isabella and Khobe and cherished great granddaughter Aurea. Loved sister of Lynn Burns and older sister of Priscilla, adored aunty of Joseph and Tyla , Olivia, Danyal and Claudia Gear, cherished Great-Aunt of Marlee. Daughter of the Late Ron Martin and Prudence Turner, step-daughter of Malcom. Special friend to all that met her. Gwen is making her final journey to rest beside her mother in Invercargill.
Until we meet again you will forever be in our hearts... “this is just beyond the beyond".
A service to celebrate Gwen’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill on Wednesday 1st October at 11.30am. Private Interment to follow at the Eastern Cemetery. Messages to be sent to 17 Regent Street, Wreys Bush 9689.
