GORHAM, Anna Riria:
Sadly, but peacefully passed away at Bupa Ascot Care Home on Wednesday 11 November, aged 74 years. Cherished mother of Annmaree, Lawrie, and Marjorie. Cherished grandmother of Hematata, Riria, Joseph, and Jordon. Cherished great grandmother of Tuari, Anna*, Ziggy. The eldest child of the late MaryAnn Davis and Peter Karetai. Cherished sister of all her siblings, John* (Dukes), Haranui, Raumoa, Terry*, Robert, Peter (Colonel), Davis, Marama*, Babarina*. Cherished aunty of all her many nieces and newphew’s. A service to celebrate Anna’s life will be held at “O Te Ika Rama Marae”, 129 Charlton Road, Gore, on Wednesday 19 November at 10.00am, followed by a committal in the Southland Crematorium Chapel on Rockdale Road. The whanau have also requested, if anyone would like to be called on to the Marae, please make it at 11.00am or 4.00pm. McCULLOCH, Dorothy May: (nee Stuart)
Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Peacehaven Village, Invercargill, on Saturday 8th November 2025. Aged 94 years. Beloved wife of the late Hector. Loved mum and mother-in-law of Neil*, Lynley*, Allister and Michelle, Stuart and Judith, Andrew and Denise. Adored Grandma of Shannon and Jacqui, Jared, Brooke, Zachary, Timothy, Kaison, Elarah, Axton, Saidee, Nathan and Alesha, and Kellylee. Special thank you to the staff at Peacehaven Village, Blind Foundation (Southland), and NZ Guide Dog Association for their support and care over the years. SCOTT, Thomas “John”:
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John, aged 73, on Wednesday 12 November 2025. John passed away peacefully at Southland Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. John will be deeply missed by his wife Glenice, and his fur babies Bella and Bindi. Loved brother and brother-in-law David and Rosemary Scott, Robyn and Ray Hazlett, Robin and Lesley Todd, Steven and Lindsay Todd, and all his nieces and nephews and fondly remembered by his extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill on Monday 17 November at 11am, followed by interment at East Winton Cemetery at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hearing Southland in John’s memory and may be left at the service. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the team on the Medical Ward at Southland Hospital for their compassionate care and support to John. May his soul rest in peace.
