Peacefully on Friday October 10, 2025 at Resthaven Rest home, with his loving family at his side; in his 95th year. Dearly loved husband of the late Joan, loved father and father-in-law of Chris and Jo, Steve and Bernie, Phillip and Christine, Bernadette and Martin, Neil and Anne-Marie, Andrew and Susan, Maurice and Kirsten, loved Grandpop of his 21 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Peacefully on Sunday 12 October 2025, at Southland Hospital, aged 87 years. Surrounded by family and cared for by a brilliant team of nurses and doctors. Devoted and adored wife and best friend of Allan* for a wonderful 60 years. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Karen and Simon Welson, David and Lou, Graham and Di. Treasured Nana and Nanabel of Jo and Flynn, Matt and Alice, Emma, Jon and Aurora, and Tenielle. Proud great-Nanabel of Adeline Milne. Cherished foster mother of Jan. Passed away peacefully on Saturday October 11,2025 at Gore hospital, with her loving family by her side. Dearly loved wife of Neil, treasured mum and mother- in- law of Nichola and Shane Brown, Kylie and Justin Roy, Mark and Trudy, much loved Nana of Ella, and Devon; Millie, Charlotte, and Bede. Special thanks to all the medical staff at Gore Hospital for all their care and support. Mum left us peacefully at Windsor Park Rest Home, Gore on Saturday, October 4, 2025, aged 94 years. Much loved wife of the late Max, very much loved Mum and mother-in-law of Wayne and Jocelyn (Te Anau), Darrell and Karen (Gore), Bryan and Ann (Gore), Murray and Debbie,(Australia), Brent and Julie (Dunedin), Grant and Clarissa (Australia); cherished and much loved Nan to her 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. In line with mum's wishes a private family gathering and cremation has been held. Our grateful appreciation to the lovely and caring staff at Windsor Park.
