After a long and hard battle, loved husband of Carol, father and father-in-law of Megan and Nigel, Nathan and Julie, and Hayden*, grandfather of Hannah, Courtney, Maggie, Mia and Abby. Son of Naumai* and Jim* Brown, brother and brother-in-law of Murray*and Marilyn, Phillipa and David, Suzanne along with extended family members. CHALMERS, Graeme Walter (Chum):
Peacefully, with a cheeky wee smile, in the care of Rowena Jackson Retirement Village, with his loving family by his side on Thursday, 13 November 2025, 15 days short of his 82 nd birthday. Loved husband of the late Mary. Loved father of Debbie, Paul, Dean*, Craig, Nathan, and Natasha. Father-in-law of Larissa, Sarah, and Matty. An adored grandad and great grandad. A service to celebrate Chum’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill on Monday, 17 November 2025 at 2.30pm. McDONALD, Allen:
Peacefully at Peacehaven on November 1, 2025. Aged 78. Dearly loved son of Clarice* and Donald* McDonald, loved twin of Duncan* and a loved brother and brother-in-law of Kay Mason*, Charles and Colleen, Joy and Gwynneth McConachie. A loved and respected uncle and great-uncle of Brendan, Sarah, Katrina, Brett, Scott and their families. Privately cremated. SCOTT, Thomas “John”:
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John, aged 73, on Wednesday 12 November 2025. John passed away peacefully at Southland Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. John will be deeply missed by his wife Glenice, and his fur babies Bella and Bindi. Loved brother and brother-in-law David and Rosemary Scott, Robyn and Ray Hazlett, Robin and Lesley Todd, Steven and Lindsay Todd, and all his nieces and nephews and fondly remembered by his extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill on Monday 17 November at 11am, followed by interment at East Winton Cemetery at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hearing Southland in John’s memory and may be left at the service. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the team on the Medical Ward at Southland Hospital for their compassionate care and support to John. May his soul rest in peace.
