Of Rowena Jackson Retirement Village. Passed away peacefully at Southland Hospital, Invercargill on 30th June 2026. Aged 86 years. Cherished wife of Robin Hunt of Rowena Jackson. Dearly loved Mum and Mum-in-law of Sonya and Ian Crook (Manapouri), Pauline and Derek Stenning (Invercargill). Cherished Nanny of Christina and Chris Campbell, and wee Lucy Campbell, Mathew Stenning, all of Invercargill. Loved Aunt of her nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Margaret’s life will be held at J Fraser & Sons Chapel, cnr Esk & Doon Streets, Invercargill on Saturday 4th July at 10.30am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St John’s Ambulance Service would be appreciated and maybe left at the service.

PERKINS, David Joseph (Perky):
formerly of Dunedin. Peacefully at Aspiring Care, Wanaka on June 27, 2026; aged 82 years. Loved husband of the late Maureen Perkins, devoted father and father-in-law to Brent*, Kerrie and Eric (Karitane), Patrick and Tracey (Wanaka), super grandad to Nicol, Dylan, Brent and Taylor, Josh, Jake and Gabbie, Jorja, Lisa and Jacinta, loved great GG to Izzy, Madison, and Darcy, eldest child of Alan* and Vida* Perkins, loved brother and brother-in-law of Ellen and Ian (Western Australia), Gordon and Sandra (Alexandra), Stan & Adrienne (Christchurch), Pat & Dick (Wellington), and much loved by all his nieces and nephews. A huge thank you for the most amazing care Dave received by all the staff at Aspiring Care (Hawea wing), you always went over and above, and we are so very grateful beyond words. To all our family and friends that assisted with Dad during his dementia journey we are eternally grateful. -A memorial service to celebrate David's life will be held at Campbell and Sons, 95 Gordon Road, Mosgiel at 2.00pm, on Thursday 9th July. In lieu of flowers donation to Dementia NZ would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
