It is with much love and sadness that we share the news of the sudden but peaceful passing of our dear Dad on Tuesday 12th May in his 90th year. Adored husband of the late Erice and much-loved father of Doug and Karen, Stuart and Noeline, Lynn and Henry, Joanne and Paul, Kirsty and Aaron. Very special Poppa to all his Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren. Brother and brother-in-law of Ken and Alison, Valmai and Gray*, Jack and Val, Don* and Gael, Carol* and Hugh*, Elaine* and Keith*, Charlie* and Margaret*. A service will be held on Monday 18th May at 1.30pm in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, Invercargill, followed by internment at Eastern cemetery. MAYNARD, Nola Mary:
Peacefully at Southland Hospital, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, aged 84 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Trevor Maynard. Much loved and treasured mum and mother in law of Jan*, Geoff (Winton), Jill and Robert (Wanaka), and Sue (Invercargill). Cherished “Ma” of Michael and Janine, Andrew and Brittany, and loved great grandmother of Eva, Cooper, and Millie. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Marie and Stuart, Margaret*, Wilma and Kevin, Colin and Noeline* and a loved aunty of all her nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Southland Hospital Medical Ward staff for their beautiful care of Mum in her last few days. A requiem Mass to celebrate Nola’s life will be held at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Great North Road, Winton, on Saturday 16 May, at 10.00am followed by Nola’s interment at East Winton Cemetery. SUTHERLAND, Lynda May (née Thornton):
30/3/1952 – 12/5/2026
Lynda passed away peacefully at Southland Hospital, with her loving family by her side. Dearly loved wife of Wayne. Much loved mum of Richard, Mark, Kailee, and Chrystal*. Beloved sister of Shirley, and John. Sister-in-law of Kathy and Les*, Meegan and Ray. Nannie to Shae, Zac, Connor, Amelia, Kensie, and Sammie.
