It is with profound sadness that we say goodbye to Phillip Fitzgerald, who passed suddenly in Canada on Tuesday. He was a much-loved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. Phillip was the beloved son of Jim Fitzgerald and Elizabeth Maere (née O'Brian), and stepson of Jan Fitzgerald and Brad Maere. A loved brother and brother-in-law to Mark and Rebecca Fitzgerald, devoted husband of Maxine and adored father of Scarlet and Madisyn. He was a cherished nephew of Kevin Fitzgerald; Peter and Vivian Fitzgerald; Mary and Brock Pearce; Therese and Davey Jones; and Trisha and Raymond Winter. Phillip was a much-loved cousin to Virginia, Adrian, Glen, Timmy, Robyn, Doug, Davina, Kris, Jamie, Sally and Troy. Passed away on 2nd September 2026 after a determined battle, aged 91. Dearly loved husband of Barbara for 67 years.
