Passed Away peacefully at Southland Hospital, very loved husband of Carol, dearly loved Dad to Brendan*, Paddy, Janell and Regan Dawson, Ange and Richard, Bob and Meland Nicky, loving and fun Grandpa to all his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Dearly loved son of Gordon and Audrey* McDowell. Much loved Brother and Brother in- law to Linda and Graham* Best, Ross* and Sandra, Allan and Gail, David, Wendy and John* Goodwin, Colin and Debbie, Margaret* and Kevin Sayer, Wayne* and Debs O'Donnell, Bev and Merv Payne. A loved Son in Law of Gus* and June* O'Donnell, loved by his many nieces and nephews (*denotes deceased). Thank you to the wonderful staff & Doctors of the Medical Ward at Southland Hospital. No flowers by request. Eric’s service will be held on Wednesday, September 2, at 1.30pm in the Esplin Room at the Gore Town and Country Club, 2 Bury Street. A private Cremation will follow. Donations to Hokonui St John Ambulance can be left as Eric’s service.
MILLAR, Frances Elizabeth:
Passed away peacefully at Rowena Jackson with family at her side on August 28th 2026 aged 91 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Frank Millar. Much loved mother and mother- in-law of Valerie & Keith Gutsell, Christine & Ross Bulling, Linda & Steve Gallagher, David & Carol Millar. Loved Nana of Christopher, Amanda; Anna, Jarn; Rachael, Richard, Michelle; James, Robert and Kayla. Loved Nana Frances of her twelve great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Rowena Jackson for their compassionate care of Frances. The service for Frances will be held in J Fraser and Sons chapel, corner Esk & Doon Streets Invercargill, on Tuesday the 1st of September at 1pm, followed by a private interment at Eastern Cemetery.
