Peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2026, in her 99th year. Beloved wife of Harold*, loved mother and mother-in-law of Peter* and Chrys, and Tricia, loved Grandma of Jonathan and Sidonee, and Christopher*, loved Great-Grandma of James. Loved sister of Olive, and Eion, cherished Aunty and good friend of many. Loved stepmother of Rowena and Trevor Taylor, Collin and Suzie Tukuitonga,

A service to celebrate Ethel's life will be held in Central Otago Funerals Chapel, 16 Ennis Street, Alexandra, on Friday, May 22, at 11.00am, followed by private cremation. BROWN, Tim:
On Sunday, May 17, 2026, doing what he loved and was passionate about, aged 36 years. Adored number one son of Ian and Lynette, much loved soulmate and best friend of Chrissy, cherished and adored dad of Ivy, deeply loved brother and brother-in-law of Kate and Stu, Nicola and Simon, and Emma, goofy and fun uncle of Charlotte and Hamish; Hudson and Arlo; treasured cousin and best friend of Ben and Tiahna. A great mate and idol to many.

A celebration of Tim's life will be held at Corbridge Woolshed, 707 Wanaka - Luggate Highway, on Wednesday, May 27 at 1.00pm. CAPIL, Wilma Raey née Soper:
Surrounded in love, Wilma passed peacefully on Saturday 16 May 2026, at Vickery Court Resthome, Invercargill, with family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Stewart Capil. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Jackie and Roger Paterson (Invercargill), and David and Shelley Capil (Kaiapoi). Loved sister and sister-in-law of Doreen* and Percy* Cribb, Neil* and Heather Soper, Eunice* Soper, Gordon and Elizabeth Soper and Elaine* Coster, Edna* and Dougal* Soper, Ivan* and Francis* Capil, Noeline and Bruce* Freeman. Much loved Nana Capil of her grand and great grandchildren. Respected Auntie Willie of her nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Wilma’s life will take place on Thursday 21 May 2026, in J Fraser & Sons Chapel, cnr Esk and Doon Streets, at 10am, followed by a private interment at Eastern Cemetery. Beloved partner of Pete for 30 years, inspiring and loving mother and mother-in-law of Hamish and Tracy, Jeremy and Vanessa, and Fiona and Simon, proud Granny of James and Phoebe; Chanelle and Oliver; and Anthony, Amy and Joshua; great-granny of Maisie and Harry, oldest sister of William* and Susan*. Peacefully at Clutha Views Lifecare; aged 78 years. Wife to Bill*, mother to Penny & Peter White, and Mark and Shannon. Nana to Rorie, Hope, Tasmyn, Ayson, Tamaralee, Cassius, and Braxton. Great-nana to Kahurangi. Thanks to Clutha Views for their loving care of Brenda. A service to Celebrate Brenda’s life will be held on Friday, May 22 at 1pm in Leishman’s Chapel 12 James Street Balclutha, the funeral then leaving for Balclutha Lawn Cemetery.
