Unexpectedly and peacefully on Sunday February 6, 2022. Dearly loved and totally devoted wife of Terry. COCKERAM, Elsie Dorothy:
In Christchurch, formerly of Lora Gorge and Alexandria. Dorothy passed away peacefully in the care of the compassionate staff of Victoria Care Rest Home, on Thursday, February 3, 2022, in her 98th year. Much loved wife of the late Bert Cockeram, mother and mother-in-law of Les and Ali (Masterton), Jenny Bodger (Christchurch), and Brian and Jan (Lincoln). Sadly missed by her 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and her only surviving sibling, brother Ern Stevens. A private family cremation has been held in Christchurch with a memorial service to be held in Winton at a later date. DOWDEN, Gladys May (nee Perkins):
Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on February 1, 2022, in her 80th year. Faithful wife and treasured companion of Bill for over 57 years. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Craig and Joanne, Jason and Jacqui, and grandmother to their children. Second daughter of Aubert* and Gladys* Perkins. Sister and sister-in-law of Stan* and Jennifer, Harvey and Isabelle*, Elizabeth and Alistair* McLennan, Dianne and Bill* Ward, Alf Pope*, Dorothy and Sam Esler, Johnny and Ava*. Thank you to the members of the St John’s Ambulance and Fire and Emergency, that come to our assistance so quickly in the early hours of the morning. You are indeed the salt of the earth. As the result of a tragic accident on February 7, 2022. Aged 27 years. Dearly loved and treasured son of Rodger and Susan and their partners Wilma and Garth. Passed away peacefully with her loving husband Nicky at her side on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Nelson Tasman Hospice. Aged 68 years. Loved wife of Nicky, adored and much-loved Mum of Justin and Mariesa and loved mother-in-law of Melissa and David. Devoted and much-loved Nana of Loryn, Jacob; Tayla and Jack. Dearly loved sister and sister-in-law of Dianne and Winston Kemp, Gaylyn and Billy Brown, Gary and Gaye Cooper. Much loved Aunty of all her nieces and nephews. Born January 27, 1941. Passed away on February 5, 2022. Aged 81. Loved brother of Gavin, Linda, Raymond, Desmond, Sherman (dec), Simon, Richmond, Joy, Pauline Leeman and will be sadly missed by all their families.
