Surrounded by his family at home, on Monday, July 25, 2022, aged 78 years. Cherished husband of Dorothy for 53 years, loved Dad and father-in-law and ‘Tom’ of Nigel and Donna, Charlie, and Georgia; Russell and Christine, Ana, and Samuel; Chris and Mairead, Max, and Grace; Gillian and Brad Saxton, Eva, Liam, and Zara; brother and brother-in-law to Alex* and Nola, Bill and Janet, Archie and Margaret, Max and Lyn*, Cynthia and Bruce McLeod, Gordon and Hilarie Wilson, and loved Uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. A service for Tom will be held in St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Devon Street, Gore, on Friday, July 29, at 11.00am, followed by a light luncheon, then a private interment. After a short battle, Cyril passed peacefully surrounded by his family, under the attentive care of Hospice Southland. Aged 72 years. Loved husband of Marianne. Cherished father of Melinda, Angela, Amie, Jessica and Francis. Loved Grandad to Kyla, Art, Atlas, Sasha, Phoenix, Aaron, Tiana, Libby, Nathan, Ella, and Walter. (After a long struggle) Peacefully on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Southland Hospital. Dearly loved wife of the late Russell (Hank) for 50 years. Loved Mum and mother-in-law of Jason and Irvina, Jodie and Aaron Green (all of Gore). Much loved Nana of Hannah and Conner, McKenzie, and Mitchell. ‘Gone but memories are never forgotten’
A service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held in the Esplin Room, Gore Town and Country Club, Bury Street, Gore, on Friday, July 29 at 1.00pm, then leaving for the Charlton Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be left at the service for the Hokonui St John Ambulance.
