On Sunday, June 23, 2019, at Albany House, Gore (formerly Parata Residence, Gore). Dearly loved daughter of the late Reginald and Edith Dobson (London). Special Aunty of her nieces in Australia. A service for Jean will be held at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Traford Street, on Friday, June 28, at 11.00am, followed by private cremation. Messages to C/- K Menlove, PO Box 191, Gore 9710.
McANELLY, Desiree Barbara (Desi).
Peacefully after a long illness at Peacehaven Rest Home, Invercargill. Aged 54 years. Most proud and loving mother of Quintin Diack, and Cameron Lock and Jasmine Stirling. And loved Nana of Ava Maree Lock. Best friend of Malcolm Freeman. Cherished daughter of the late Des and Alvena McAnelly. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Peter and Johanna, Susan-Anne, the late Stephen and Karen (Christchurch), Diane and George Lindsay, Nigel and Lynne, Maryanne McAnelly, Alvena Clay and Jeff Helm, Patricia and Daryl Harris. A good friend to Peter and Sandra Freeman, Lloyd and Susan Freeman (Auckland). Dearly loved aunty and great-aunty to all her nieces and nephews.

MEECHANG, Maurice Gordon.
Born March 6, 1938, Waikaka. Died June 22, 2019, Nelson. Maurie says goodbye and thanks for the good times to family and friends. He is off to join his parents, Ettie and Noble Meechang, his 7 older siblings, Mag’s parents, Elaine and George Ming and special daughter Rachel. Mag, Tony and Terry, Andy, Roxy, and Ang, chosen and wider family, special friends and mates will miss him with his stories, memories, knowledge, skills and his ability to fix and make things. He will leave behind much to be remembered and will be treasured by us all. A special message to those at tennis. “Many thanks and do try to eliminate those errors!” To all who have taken medical care of him over the past 16 years, we express enormous gratitude, especially to Saxon Connor and Konrad Richter, “Top surgeons and top people”. Thanks too, to Dr Jo Knight, Hospitals, carers and Hospice medical staff. According to Maurie’s wishes, a private cremation has taken place. Mag, Tony, Terry and families will arrange a gathering during the summer at Athol, to recall the great times we have had together over 52 plus years and to scatter his ashes.

Peacefully passed away in Christchurch on Sunday, June 23, 2019, aged 94. Beloved wife of the late Paul Anthony Ryan. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Christine and Trevor, Maree and Bob, Anne, Paul, Patrick and Helen, Genevieve*, and Josephine. Loved Grandma to her 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Cherished daughter of Nicholas* and Delia* Maloney and much loved sister of Ted, Fr. Pat, Kathleen (Sister Aquin), Nellie*, Margaret*, and Nicholas*. Loved aunty of her many nieces and nephews.
