It is with deep sorrow and regret Alana has left us whilst her loving family and friends were by her side. Dearly loved mother of Shane, Marly*, Ben, and Katie. Adored Grandmother of Benny, Deja, Dakota, Sophie, and Lucas. Loved sister of Mareeka and Grant, Karen, Henry, and Vanessa. Loving aunty of Bobby, Emma, Jed, Ethan, Angel, Jacob, and Natalie. Alana will be resting at her home, 111 Ness Street, until her service which will be held in the Southland Crematorium, Rockdale Road, on Saturday, October 27, at 10.30am. (*denotes deceased)

WHATUIRA, Jade George. As a result of an accident on October 22, 2018, aged 22 years. Dearly loved son of Corina Munro and Neville Ferguson (Orepuki) and John Whatuira (Westport). Loved brother of Danyon (Wyndham), and Brandon (Australia). Loved Grandson of Lorraine and Colin Munro (Wyndham), and Noleen and Warren Parker (Wyndham). Loved nephew of all his uncles and aunties. A service to celebrate Jade’s life will be held at 2.00pm on Friday, October 26, 2018, in the Orepuki Hall, followed by interment at the Orepuki Cemetery. INSTONE, Lesley Margaret. On 23 October 2018 at Peacehaven in Invercargill aged 65 years. Loved daughter of the late Margaret and Guy Instone. Sister and sister in law to Alison and David Strong (Auckland) and Graeme Instone and Hilary Boyce (Ashburton). Auntie to Michael Strong, Nicholas Instone, Jeremy Strong, Timothy Instone and Travis Instone. WOODYARD, Josephine Gladys (Jo). Peacefully on Sunday, October 21, 2018, with her daughter at her side at Clare House Rest Home. Beloved wife of the late Colin. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Mark (Auckland), Debra and Peter Gallagher. Loved Nana of Nathan, Christina and Bevan. A loved great-grandmother of Aiden, Cooper and Deacon. As to Jo’s wishes a private cremation has taken place, but a memorial service will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, cnr Tweed and Conon Streets, Invercargill, on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at 2.00pm. RUFFELL, Edward Charles (Ted). Peacefully, at his home in Kaka Point, on October 23, 2018, surrounded by his loving family; aged 85 years. Loved husband of the late Tui, dearly loved father and father-in-law of John and Pauline (Balclutha), Carolyn and Wayne (Balclutha), Rhonda and Jan (Makikihi), Brian and Debra (Timaru), the late Nicholine, and a very proud grandad of his 36 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Ted on Friday, October 26, at 1.00pm, in St Mary MacKillop Catholic Church, Gordon Street, Balclutha, then leaving for the Balclutha Lawn Cemetery.
