After a remarkable 100 years Yvonne passed away peacefully on Saturday, with her family by her side. Dearly loved wife of the late Alan, loved mother of Josie, Ian and Graham. Respected and loved mother in law of the late John, Liz and Ann. Proud Grandma of her grandchildren – Joanna, Sarah, Alan, Amy, Emma and Mark and all her great grandchildren Olivia, Cameron, Tilly and Edie. Loved sister of the late Ngaire Pierce.

Yvonne had a wonderful network of carers, helpers and friends who along with Josie, who enabled her to live a fulfilling life at home. We thank you one and all for your kindness and caring. Thank you also to the Management and staff at Calvary Hospital, for your friendliness and compassion during Mum’s final few days. Unexpectedly, on Friday, June 17, 2022, at her home, Winton, aged 76 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Sam, loved mother and mother-in-law of Symon and Vanessa (Christchurch), Peter and Ann (Bannockburn), Rachel and Tony Hyde (Queensland), Amy (Queensland), much loved Gran of Samuel, Rebecca, Fraser, Benjamin, and Zoe, and great-Gran of Myra, Aubree, and Eliza. Passed peacefully with family at Rowena Jackson on Tuesday 21 June 2022, aged 92. Dearly beloved husband of Margaret for 68 years. Adored father and father-in-law of Anne Keehan, Ken and Meg (and the late Hazel), Russell and Lesley, Loved Grandad of the late Michael, Shane, and Stevie Fredric; Naomi, and Ben Keehan; and loved Great-Grandad of Nate and Mia. Mary passed away peacefully on Sunday 19th of June aged 97 years. Loved daughter of the late Michael and Ethel Moloney of Northope and the last of her eight siblings, Maisie, Willie, Frank, Eric, Kathie, Ethel, Michael and Gerald. Loved wife of the late Allan Nicholson for 57 years and much loved mother of Dianne, Kathryn* and Marilyn. Devoted Grandma of Kate & Ben, Sarah, Laura & Emma, Lydia & Brad and Great Grandmother of Ethan, Grace, Presley, William, Evie and Quinn. Proud Aunty of all her nieces and nephews. It is with a saddened heart we say goodbye to Neri Ma who passed away peacefully in the early hours of Wednesday morning 15.06.22 in Invercargill. A loved father to Christine-Dean-Shawn-Carolina and step (father) to Tania-Aroha-Rana and Marama. A man who has lived a full life and to say he will be missed by many is an understatement. His motto in life was to “stay healthy” and “don’t get old” – he proved this to us in a very humbling way, staying active and working hard to the very end.
