CROOKS, John Owen (Owen). 28.12.1938 – 18.3.2019 Passed away surrounded by his loving wife and family, in the loving care of Ascot Care Home, Invercargill. Dearly beloved husband of Ann. Loved father and father-in-law of Jackie and Clark Barron (Rakahouka), Bernie and Murray Hewitson (Waimumu), John and Lisa Crooks (Invercargill), and Lynley and Brad Williams (Invercargill). Dearly loved Pa of Ellie, Willie, Tom, Laura, Devon, Jackson, Jacob, and Madison. Beloved son of Ossie* and Bessie* Crooks, brother and brother-in-law of Patricia and Allan McLellan, Nip* and Judy Crooks, and Jenny and Les Booth. A farewell service to celebrate Owen’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, on Friday, March 22 at 1:00pm. The service will conclude with the burial at the Eastern Cemetery. Dad and father-in-law of Donece and Ray McEwan, Wallace and Delma, and the late Jan, Rhonda and Stan Black, Kathleen and Brian Nicholl, Charlie, and Hilary Craig. Proud Grandad of Raylene and Mike, Brebner and Elizabeth, Brendan, Corey and Gwen, the late Bobby, Nicolett and Jim, Warren and Sheryl, Arden and Suzanne, Richard, Jessica, Anna, Yvette and Matt, Fern, Ferris and Matt, Jorden and Chanel, and 24 great-grandchildren. A long time member of the Ulysses Motor Cycle Club and an avid Bowler. FALLOW, John Charles. NZD2989, Lieutenant, RNZNVR. Passed away peacefully at Middlemore Hospital on March 18, 2019; in his 99th year. He lived in relatively good health and always enjoyed time with friends and a dram or two from time until the end.

PEARCE, David Irwin. Peacefully after a short illness at Village at the Park, on Friday, March 15, 2019, aged 72. Beloved youngest son of the late Muriel and Geoff Pearce (Invercargill). Brother of George and Margaret (Auckland), Marie and the late Alf Robson (Dunedin), Helen and the late Joe Kershaw (Wainuiomata), and Kay and Robert Price (Christchurch). GUD of his nephews and nieces, great-nephews and nieces, and great-great-nephews and nieces. Special thanks to the staff of Village at the Park, the Oncology team and the team at Mary Potter Hospice for their care and support of David.
