WILSON, Chanel Marie. Our Chanel Wilson passed away peacefully at Hospice Southland, surrounded by family on Sunday, September 16, 2018. Loved staff and friend of Gaius Cottage and Good Partners Homecare and Nursing. We are humbled by her kindness and compassion to everyone. Her smile and warmth were contagious. Heaven gained an angel.

On Monday, September 17, 2018, at Southland Hospital, aged 86 years. Loved husband of the late Betty and the late Vera. Loved Dad and father-in-law of Joyce and Sam Greer (Ranfurly), Ian and Rachael (Invercargill), Lindsay and Annette (Wyndham), Anne and Ewan Kirk (Ranfurly), loved Grandad to his 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Brother of Margaret and the late Graham Eunson (Timaru), Malcolm and Alison (Dunedin). Many thanks to the staff of Southland Hospital and the Wyndham Community Rest Home for their care of Digger in recent weeks. A service to celebrate Digger’s life will be held in the Wyndham Memorial Hall on Friday, September 21, at 2.00pm. Private interment. Late of Balfour and Te Anau, at Southland Hospital, September 16, 2018. Aged 70. Eldest child of the late Red and Jean Redfern. Loving sister and sister-in-law of Lorraine and Grant Armstrong; Ewan and Jackie; and Marie. Devoted Aunty Mern to her nieces and nephews and adoring “mum” to Jonty. A funeral service will be held in the Te Anau Club, Pop Andrews Drive, Te Anau, on Friday, September 21, 2018, at 11.00am, followed by an interment at the Balfour Cemetery, arriving approximately 3.00pm. KING, Thomas (Tom). Passed away peacefully at home on September 17, 2018, aged 93. Dearly loved husband of Rae for 64 years. Dearly loved Dad of Anne and Brian, Gaye and Tony, Scott and Caron. Much loved Grandad and Great-Grandad of many. A service to celebrate Tom’s life will be held at the Pyes Pa Crematorium Chapel, 403 Pyes Pa Road, on Thursday, September 20, at 11.00am. In lieu of flowers donations to Waipuna Hospice which can be left at the service.
