BALCH, Kendal Richard (Ken). Peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, on December 17, 2018, aged 91 years. Dearly loved husband of Gabrielle (Gay), loved father and father-in-law of Richard (deceased), Ruth and Clifford Bucknell, Judith (deceased), Jillian, and Helen and Maurice Lye. Loved grandpa of Jesse (deceased), Reuben, Marcus and Dominic Bucknell, Ben and Alex Lye, and great-grandpa of Carter Bucknell. A funeral service for Ken will be held at St Mark’s Church, 150 Withells Road, Christchurch, on Friday, December 21, at 11.00am to be followed by a private interment.
CAMPBELL, John Lindsay. On Thursday, December 13, 2018, died peacefully at Hospice Marlborough, with his dearly loved wife holding his hand and surrounded with his loved ones. McMILLAN, Janice (Jan). Of Glenfellen Station, Garston, passed away peacefully at Frankton Hospital on Monday, December 17, 2018, aged 79. Best friend of Noel, cherished mother and mother-in-law of Ross and Judi; Denyce and Darrell Peoples; Kensie Burke; Bill and Kate; and Gordon and Kara. Loved grandmother of Mandy, Shannon, Fraser, Nikita, Cody, Kaylee, Elizabeth, Mitchell, Daniel, and Emelia, and great-grandmother of River, Toby, Harlow, Jayden, and Rylee. “Teddy Bears Welcome” A graveside service for Jan will be held at the Garston Cemetery, on Friday, December 21, at 1.30pm. ROBINSON, Rex John. It is with much sadness that Rex passed away on Monday 17 December 2018, with his sisters supporting him on his journey. Rex was a dearly loved son of the late Tom and Mary Robinson, and a treasured loved and loving brother and brother in law of Diane and the late Geoff Gill, Neil and Lyn, Gay, Leona, Jan, and Lynn and Dave Hill. Rex was a loving and much loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and loved friend of many. Rex was a courageous, gentle man with an awesome smile who will be greatly missed. A service to celebrate the life of Rex will be held in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, Cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill on Friday 21 December at 11am, followed by a private interment.
