It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Nathan on August 11, 2022, aged 33. A much-loved son of the late David. Dearly loved son of Carolyn and step-son of Rhys. Loved partner of Chevaugne, much loved dad to Blake and Bindi, loved brother and brother-in-law of Ashleigh and Pat. A much-loved grandson of Wilma and Vic Keen, and the late John and Lorraine Lumsden. Adored Uncle Nae Nae to all his nieces and nephews. Friend to many.

McDOWALL, Ian:
Unexpectedly but peacefully at Southland Hospital with his loving family by his side on Friday, 12th August 2022, aged 77 years. Cherished and loving husband of Val. Dearly loved Dad of Trevor (Ox) and Jacqui, Neil and Carmel, Alan*, Diane and Scott Sutton, and Allison and Glen Collie. A loved Grandad and Great Grandad. A service to celebrate Ian’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street on Thursday, 18th August at 1:00pm, the service will conclude with a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Otago Rescue Helicopter Service would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Peacefully in the care of Calvary Hospital Invercargill on Tuesday 16 August 2022. Loved husband of the late Doreen, loved father and father-in-law of Riki and Kararaina Bain, Roderick, Pania* and Bruce Williams, Donna and Toni Atariki, Liz and Tony, Lee and Gilbert Davidian, Janie*, Bonney and John Robertson, Maria, Rachel, and Kiri and Kyle Kahukura. Died in her sleep at home, Caboolture, Queensland, on Sunday, August 14, 2022, aged 75 years. Loved eldest daughter of True* and Ewart* Munro, late of Waimatua. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Craig, Linley Twining, Stephen, and Suzanne and Brad Delley, and grandma of her 5 grandchildren. SWITALLA, Christopher John (Swifty):
Passed away suddenly enjoying the outdoors, doing what he loved on Friday, 12/8/2022, aged 63 years. Son of Rosalea and Graham. Dearly loved husband of Ann, brother and friend to Russell. Grandad to Ngarea, Kowhai, Neihana, Tamai, Mia, Vinnie, Sharaea, Zaydn, Koby, Harmoni, Kailea, Anika, Harley, Willow, and Spencer. Swiftly will be missed dearly by his family and his friends near and far. THOMPSON, Roger Nelson:
It is with great sadness that Paula and Ruby have to tell you all of Roger’s sudden passing on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Dunedin Public Hospital. Aged 61 years. He was so dearly loved and treasured by us both and he was very thankful for all the love and support which surrounded him from everyone during this last year. Roger was the much-loved youngest son of the late Joe and Gwen Thompson. A loved and admired brother and brother-in-law of Stuart and Helen (Gold Coast), Wendy and Peter (Auckland), Murray and Anne (Melbourne), Paula and Paul (Tauranga). He was a loved son-in-law of Syd and Bev Olive, loved brother-in-law of Vicky (Denver), Michelle and Peter (Invercargill), Clayton and Lou (Edendale). He was a very cool Uncle Rog to the late Reece, Lydia, Emily, Matt and Juliette, Lauren, Austin, Kaleb, Tom, Joshua, Luke, Ella, Tyler, Johanna, Kaitlyn and a very proud great-uncle of Freya, Hudson, and Bump. He was a loved nephew and a loved cousin. A service to celebrate Roger’s life will be held at the Salvation Army Centre, De Joux Road, Winton, on Saturday, August 20, at 11.30am.
