BURMESTER, Margaret Janice (Jan) (nee Tallentire):
On February 13, 2022, passed away age 72 years in Christchurch. Loved daughter of the late Dorothy and Lance Tallentire, and loved sister of the late Ross Tallentire. Much loved mother of Nicky (Spain). Treasured by her extended family Faye and Clyde Drury, the Miles and McKay family and all her friends. Grateful and heartfelt thanks to Blair and Tessa and family and all the staff at the Somerset on Cavendish home for her support, care and laughter. In accordance of her wishes she will be cremated and a memorial service to be held with her daughter Nicky on her return to NZ from Europe at a later date.

Peacefully at Rowena Jackson on Saturday 12 February 2022. Dearly loved wife of the late Bernard, much loved mother and mother-in-law of John and Lyndon (London), Sarah and Paul Cross, Paul and Melissa, and Richard and Jo, loved Grandma of Mya, Hiedi, Stella, Meg, Sam, and Ryan. R.I.P

Passed away peacefully after a short illness on Sunday, 13th February 2022 in the care of Rowena Jackson Retirement Village, aged 90 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Marilyn. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Susan and Michael Stenton, Helen Ramsay, and Philip and Karen Ramsay. Loved Grandad of Krista & Aaron, Nicole and Johnny; Caitlin, Gemma, and Thomas; Lara*, Scott, and Jessica. Proud great-grandad of Hunter, Charlotte, and Mason. Loved brother of Atholea and Tom Shanks. Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. Passed away peacefully at Dunstan Hospital on Friday, February 11, 2022. Beloved husband of Pearl, loved and cherished father and father-in-law of Gillian and Tim Julien, Trevor, Karen and Grey Tye (Scone, Australia) and treasured Poppa of Charlotte. Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Anne* and Laurie* Duncan, Geoff and June (Temuka), Peter and Pauline (Tauranga), Sally and Peter* Hundleby (Auckland), Tim* and Florence (Mapua), and Richard and Deborah (Levin), and much loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. Predeceased of his parents Geoff and Belle Taylor (nee McArthur) and siblings Elsie, Anne and Tim. In accordance with John’s wishes a private family service has been held.
