9 April 1931 – 8 September 2022
Peacefully at Aspiring Enliven Care Centre, Wanaka. Much loved wife of the late Henk, mother and mother-in-law to Johanna and Alfred, Jennifer, Robert and Evelyn, Chris and Alana, and Don and Dianne. Much loved Oma to Andrew, Renee, Catherine, Anna, Joshua, Abby, Alicia, Jeremy, Shinae and Daniel, and great-grandmother to her 15 great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate Hanny’s life will be held in the Wanaka Presbyterian Community Church, 94 Tenby Street, on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 1.00pm, followed by interment at the Wanaka Cemetery. BUTLER, Gerard Anthony (Gerry):
Suddenly on Friday, September 9, 2022, aged 62 years. Dearly loved husband to Trish and loved father to Serena, Isaac, Regan and Ethan. Much loved son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew and cousin to the extended Butler family. A celebration of life will be held in the Woodlands Tavern Bistro, on Friday, September 16, at 7.00pm. BYO. Come along and share your memories of Gerry. A private family service will be held at a later date.

CROSS, Joseph Kingsley (Moss):
Peacefully, on September 12, 2022, at Dunedin Hospital; aged 36 years. With so much sadness we advise, our precious, handsome man Joseph is no longer with us, he slipped away after a short but courageous 8-week battle with a cancer diagnoses. Joseph did not once give up hope, nor did he once complain. This man fought with his everything until his last breath to be able to stay with us. Joseph leaves behind a loved partner Georgia, and a cherished daughter, his little B, Breeana and we are absolutely heart broken. A celebration of Joseph’s life will be held on Friday, September 16, at 1.30pm in the South Otago Town and Country Club, Yarmouth Street, Balclutha, followed by a private interment. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Southland Charity Hospital would be appreciated and may be left at Joseph’s service. Messages to 62 Clinton Highway, Te Houka, Balclutha 9273.

DICKSON, Peter Wayne (Pete):
On September 11, 2022, peacefully in Christchurch, surrounded by family, aged 34 years. Dearly loved husband of Lucinda and proud dad of Dakota. Unexpectedly on Tuesday, 13th September 2022, aged 82 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Cathie for 63 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Maree & Wiri Kerr, Julie & Greg Erskine, Richard & Susie, and special friend of Wayne & Sue Edgerton. Loved Grandad of his 13 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. A service to celebrate Leo’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street on Saturday, 17th September at 10:30 am. The service will conclude with the interment at the Eastern Cemetery. MORRIS, George Frederick Thomas (Joe):
Of Mosgiel, formerly of Owaka Valley and Southland. Peacefully, on September 13, 2022, at St Andrews Home and Hospital, Dunedin. Joe was the loved husband of the late Catherine Hope (nee Elliot), father and father-in-law of Neil and Denise (Winchester), Janet and John MacManus (Invercargill), Beverley and the late Alan Watson (Alexandra), and the late John Wallis (Mosgiel), Andrew and Barbara (Timaru), and David (Invercargill), he was loved by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren, a loved uncle and friend.

A service to celebrate Joe’s life will be held in Campbell and Sons Chapel, 95 Gordon Road, Mosgiel, at 2.00pm, on Friday, September 16, followed by private cremation.
