BLACKLER, Noelene Margaret (nee MacKenzie):
Passed away peacefully after a short illness on 7th January 2022, in her 85th year, with family by her side. Loved daughter of *Jack and *Elsie. Dearly loved wife of Ian for 65 years. Much loved mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunty, and Nan to all her grand and great-grandchildren. At Noelene’s request a private service has been held. Of Woodlands. Loved husband and best friend of Jill. Brother and Brother-in-law of Jean and Colin Macnicol (Arrowtown), Alasdair and Wendy Henry (Mokoreta), Lois and Kevin Stanton (Gore), and David and Jacky Anderson (Winchester). A much loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews and extra special Big Mac to Little Mac. A service to celebrate Mac’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill on Monday, 10th January at 1:30pm. Passed peacefully January 5th 2022 surrounded by family . Beloved wife and soul mate of Ronald Thomas Evans . Much loved mother and mother inlaw of Raewyn, Douglas and Ronnie. Dearly loved Grandmother and great grandmother of Shane and Millie, Siobhan and Jamie, Frankie, Kahurangi and Te atawhai and dearly loved by all her extended family and friends .

On January 9, 2022, peacefully at Resthaven Village, Gore, aged 64 years. Best friend of Sam. Loved daughter of Mary*, mother of Chris, Riki, Jacqui-Leigh and Jonwyn- Leigh*, Aroha and Logan, and Tamati. Nan to seven Mokos. Shirley will be at home (Woodlands) until her final farewell and for one last drink which will be in the Woodlands Tavern on Thursday 13 th January at 11am. SMAIL, James Alexander:
Peacefully, on January 11, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family; in his 42nd year. Loved grandson of Jim and *Doris Smail and *Sandy and *Doris Macgregor, cherished son of Allan and *Linda Smail, much loved husband of Tess, loved father of Jack, a loved brother of Monica, son-in-law to Brendon, brother-in-law to Aroha and Ken, and Millanian, and a loved uncle to Mack, and Meila. A service to celebrate James’ life will be held on Friday, January 14, at 11.00am, at the Toko Rugby Club grounds, followed by burial at Fairfax Cemetery, Milton. Due to Covid restrictions, vaccine passes should be shown at the Club, if you are unable to do so, a section of the Club grounds will be made available for viewing. The service will also be livestreamed for those unable to attend and family or Leishman Funeral Services should be contacted for these details.
