DUNCAN, Matthew Charles (Matt).
On June 30, 2019, died tragically drowning in Lake Wakatipu; aged 46 years. Dearly loved husband of Rachel Duncan, father of Trinity, brother of Nicole Duthie, and loved by many.
“It is in the vast man that you are vast, and in beholding him that I beheld you and loved you. For what distances can love reach that are not in that vast sphere? What visions, what expectations and what presumptions can outsoar that flight? Like a giant oak tree covered with apple blossoms is the vast man in you.”

RACE, George Owen (Owen).
Peacefully in the care of Southland Hospital on Saturday, July 6, 2019, aged 90 years. Dearly loved husband and soulmate of Dulcie for 67 years. Cherished father and father-in-law of Lindsay*, Ann-Maree and Russell Blick. Adored Pop of Shane and Bronwen, Olivia and Mark and Great-Pop of Maxwell, and Travis. SNODGRASS, Vincent Gerard (Vince).
Peacefully after a short illness in the presence of family on Sunday, July 7, 2019, in his 86th year. Dearly loved husband of Alice and the late Joan and Doreen. Dearly loved “Vince” of Alice’s children Donna Knight and Jimmy Robertson, Peter and Janet McKnight, Ian McKnight, Trish Henderson, Yvonne and Steven Watt and all their children.
Death leaves a heartache, no one can heal.
But love leaves a memory no one can steal.

The family wish to acknowledge the staff at Vickery Court for their care of Vince over the last 15 months and also the staff at Southland Hospital for their care during the last week. Requiem Mass will be held in St Mary’s Basilica, Tyne Street, on Friday, July 12, at 10.30am, followed by interment at the Eastern Cemetery.
