BUCKLEY, Denise Faye. On Sunday, January 6, 2019, whilst holding her hands, our precious mother took her last breath. It was a long struggle that she braved with such dignity. Soulmate of our late Dad, Herbert Buckley. Deeply loved Mum of Vicki and Keith, Tracy, Kato and Debbie. Adored Nana of Riley, India, Rewa and Iona. Treasured Neesy of Cortez, Louka and Iriah. “It is with heavy hearts that we let her go” Our deepest gratitude to the amazing caring team at Calvary Hospital. McDONALD, Donald Parkinson (Don). Don passed away peacefully at home with Pam by his side on January 6, 2019; in his 84th year. Cherished, loving and best-friend to Pam for 50 years, a wonderful fun-loving and respected father, father-in-law and Grandad of Owen; Tracey and Darren, Amber, and James Grant; Melissa and Stafford, Simone, Rory, Leroy, and Danielle Ferguson; Jonathan and Amanda, Liam, and Reece. A service of farewell for Don will be held on Friday, January 11, at 1.30pm in our Chapel, 12 James Street, Balclutha, followed by a private cremation. McKILLOP, Rhona Mary (née McCallum). Passed away on December 28, 2018; aged 93, at Vickery Court in the loving hands of family. Beloved wife of the late Maitland, devoted and much loved mother to David and Linda. Greatly adored and cherished Nana to James and Laura, and Nana RoRo to Karl, Ryan and Jean-Luc. Loved Great-Nana RoRo to Briana and Xavier. Loved mother-in-law to Mary and Howard, loved aunt to many, and great-aunt to even more. Loved sister and sister-in-law to those who have already passed. Heartfelt thanks to Vickery Court for their loving care over the last 11 months. Special thanks to Nevis, a caregiver at home, and neighbour Yvonne. A private family funeral as per her wishes, was held on Monday, January 7, 2019. Love flows both ways forever.

MORPHUS, Karen Anne (McLean, nee McLeod). Suddenly and unexpectedly at Dunedin Hospital on Sunday, January 6 2019. Cherished wife of Mervyn and the late Jimmy McLean. Adored mother and mother-in-law of Nadia & Josh Collins, Kyla & Hamish Allan, Alister* McLean, Tanya & Bruce Eade, Jana & Tim Proffit, and Darren & Jo van Midden. Dearly loved Nanny of Ethan, Samuel, Isabella, Flynn, Cooper, Sophie, Natalie, James, “Bump”, Oliver, Jacob, and Ethan. Dearly loved daughter, daughter-in-law, sister and sister-in-law of the McLeod, McLean and Morphus families. Special companion to her dogs, Toby and Buddy. Thank you to the staff at the ICU, Dunedin Hospital for their care of Karen and family. A service to celebrate Karen’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street on Friday, 11 January at 10:00am. The service will conclude with the burial at the Eastern Cemetery.
