FORREST Coral Hyacinth (née Stuart). Peacefully at Southland Hospital on Saturday 1 st December 2018, in her 90th year, surrounded by her loving family. Formerley of ‘Kenmare’ Brydone and ‘Glen Oaks’ Waianiwa. Devoted and dearly loved wife of Ken* Forrest. Cherished mother and mother in law of Winston Forrest and Michele Poole (Arrowtown), Cynthia Forrest (Wellington), Helen* and David Rose (Northope), Grant Forrest (Waianiwa), and Fiona Forrest (Lochiel). Treasured Nana Coral of Hamish, Mark, Christine, Andrew and Jennifer. Precious Great Nana Coral to Leon. Adored Aunty of all her nieces and nephews. Eldest daughter of Jim and Jessie Stuart (Brydone). Cherished sister and sister in law of George* and Alison Stuart, Heather* and Graeme McKenzie, Ken and Mavis Stuart, Veron and Lex* Bagrie. A special thank you to Dr Chatterjee and the Medical teams at Southland Hospital in caring for Coral. A service to celebrate Coral’s life will be held at St Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Dee Street, Invercargill on Friday 7th December at 1.30pm. Interment at Eastern Cemetery to follow. GILES, Charles Edward (Charlie). Formerly of Lawrence; aged 87 years. Peacefully on December, 3, 2018, at the Gore Hospital. Dearly loved husband of the late Barbie, much loved father and father-in-law of Ann and Ali Grant (Wanaka), Nicki and David MacKenzie (Tapanui), Tony and Camille (Outram), cherished Grandad of Brad and the late Janie, and Latoya (Scoob); Alistair, Stuart, Georgia, Annie and Dion; Tyla, and Noah.

A service for Charlie will be held on Friday, December 7, at 1.30pm, in Simpson Park, Lawrence, followed by a private cremation. O’CONNELL, Gerard Michael. A cherished and much loved son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, nephew and cousin who passed away peacefully at Calvary Rest Home on Saturday, 1st December 2018. Eldest son of Barbara and the late Brian, brother and brother-in-law of Barbara Finlayson, Terry & Julie, and Tracey & David Carrick. A Requiem Mass to celebrate Gerard’s life will be held in the St. Thérèse of Lisieux Catholic Church, Perth Street, Invercargill on Thursday, 6th December at 11:00am. The service will conclude with the burial at the Eastern Cemetery. The Rosary will be held in the Fr. O’Brien Chapel at the church on Wednesday, 5th December at 7:00pm. O’CONNELL, Gerard Michael. Passed in peace and now in God’s hands on the 1st December 2018. Dearly loved, adored and cherished nephew of the late Mick and Jo Rabbitt. Extraordinary and remarkable ‘special’ friend and cousin of John and Sarah Rabbitt, Paul and Karen Rabbitt, Joanne and Stephen Boyle, Mary-Ellen and Dean McDonald and Families.
