BROOKLAND, Carole (nee Dempster): Peacefully at North Shore Hospice, Auckland on Sunday May 29, 2022. Loved wife of John for 61 years. Beloved Mother and Mother-in-law of Peter and Leigh, Barbara and Nick (Auckland), David and Nicki, Andrew and Andrea (Auckland), Beloved Grandma of her 12 grandchildren and loved Great Grandson Riley. R.I.P. Requiem Mass for Carole will be celebrated in St Mary’s Basilica, Tyne Street, Invercargill, at 1.30pm, on Friday June 6. Then leaving for the Eastern Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be left at the Mass for Parkinson’s NZ. HANSEN, Jannice Evelyn (nee Eckhoff):
Mum slipped gracefully away after a courageous battle on Sunday 29th May 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Dearly loved wife of Wayne for 55 years. Cherished mum of Tania and Darryl, Rachel and Tony, Sheryl and Nathan, and Evelyn. Adored Nana of Finn; Paige, Quade, Kimberley and Matthew; Kea and Spiro; Dallas, Alaskia and Cairo; and great Nana of Harlee. Loved daughter of the late Victor and Eileen Eckhoff. Jannice was a loved sister, sister in law and Aunty to all her nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Southland or the Blair Vining Charity Hospital would be greatly appreicated and can be left at the service. A Celebration of Jannice’s life will be held on Thursday 2nd June 2022, 1.30pm, J Fraser and Sons Chapel, Corner Esk and Doon Streets Invercargill. A private cremation will follow.
