1941 – 2020
Peacefully, on December 28, 2020 with her loving family by her side. Dearly loved wife of Les, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Richard and Tania, Mark and Kerry, and Alastair, cherished Nana and Great-Grandma of her grandchildren. A Memorial service for Irene will be held in our Chapel, 12 James Street, Balclutha on Thursday, December 31, at 11.00am. HUGHES, Marilyn Joy (Lyn):
After a lengthy battle with cancer, surrounded by her loved ones, Lyn peacefully passed away on December 27, 2020, aged 71. Beloved wife of Dallas Hughes, dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Ramon, Darryl and Donna, Nathan and his partner Vicki, and Leah. Loving Nana of 10 grandchildren. Sister and sister-in-law of Shirley (deceased) and Mervyn, Keith and Lyn, Darryl, Tony, Sammi and the late Andy. Beloved aunty and special friend to many. A sincere thank you to all those who were involved with Lyn’s care, with special thanks to the team at Nurse Maude. A celebration of Lyn’s life is to be held at the RSA Rangiora, on Wednesday, December 30, at 2.00pm. In lieu of flowers, a koha to Nurse Maude Hospice is appreciated.

KIRKNESS, Noeline May:
Suddenly at Southland Hospital on Thursday, 24th December 2020, aged 94 years. Loved wife of the late James (Jim). Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Kerry & Shirley, Darrell* & Martha*, Jaye and Lindsay Peacock, and Cheryl. Loved Nana of Scott, Nathan, Kirk, Michael, Trisha, Kaia and her Great Grandchildren. A service to celebrate Noeline’s life will be held in the Peacehaven Chapel, 498 Tweed Street, Invercargill on Wednesday, 30 th December at 10:00am, the service will conclude with a private cremation.
