Dearly loved wife of Murray, loved mother and mother-in-law of Alan and Annemarie, Peter and Tracey, Carol and Rob. Cherished Grandma (Mahlea) of Josh, Harry, Nic, Gemma, Jade, and Ruby, and elder sister of Jimmy, Brian, and Lindsay. FERRIS, Garry Brian. 8-4-56 to 25-3-19. At Hospice Southland on March 25 2019, Garry was taken from us far too young but surrounded in love. He slipped away in a very peaceful way. Dearly loved husband of Josie* and loved father and father-in-law of Gwen & Corey, and Jimmy & Christine. Dearly loved Grandad of Emma & Wyatt, Allie, and Holly. Loved son of Brian* (Pearly) & Eunice*. Beloved brother and brother-in-law of Michael*, Darryl & Judy, Dianne & David, and Jenny. Beloved brother-in-law and uncle of the Oldenhof extended family. Due to Garry’s wishes, a private cremation has been held. A memorial service will be held at the Te Anau Rugby Club on Friday, March 29 2019 at 2.00pm for everyone to share hunting and fishing stories and to celebrate Garry’s life. GILBERT, Darcy Henry. After a courageous battle at Rowena Jackson, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 25, 2019; aged 78 years. Much loved father and father-in-law of Mark and Donna; Dean and Wendy; Dawn and Nok; Kelli and Ross. Loved grandfather and great-grandfather of all his grandchildren. Loved husband of Tess. Former husband of the late Lynette Gilbert and former partner and good friend of the late Karen. A huge thanks to all the staff of Rowena Jackson and Hospice Southland for the kind care of Darcy. A service will be held in the Winton Salvation Army, Dejoux Road, on Friday, March 29, at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation. Messages to 14 John Street, Winton 9720.
