LAKER, Tony
1964 – 2022
6 months ago today we lost a cherished husband, father and best friend. To all of our wonderful family, friends, business colleagues and the Southland Community, we can’t thank you enough for the outpouring of love shown during this time. We will be forever grateful to all those individuals and businesses who sent the beautiful flowers, gorgeous hampers, thoughtful gifts and the delicious food that was delivered to our door. Your generosity was truly incredible. The hundreds of lovely cards that still keep coming, the messages and the beautiful memories that you shared remind us of how loved Tony was by so many. A huge thank you to the medical team and nurses, our wonderful Oncologist Dr Chris Jackson, GP Dr Robert Bester and Dr Josie Parker. We could not have asked for a better team to support us through that time. We are so grateful for the amazing care that Tony received. A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful friend and MC Jamie MacKay, the team at Stadium Southland, the fabulous speakers and all those involved in Tonys funeral. Your involvement ensured that the service was as incredible as Tony was. Thank you to the thousands of people who attended both in person and online. Tony would have been so humbled that he had impacted so many lives. We wish we could thank each one of you in person however so many addresses are unknown. Please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. Our lives have changed forever and the immense pain we feel is because of the treasure that Tony was. We are comforted knowing that Tony impacted so many lives with his eternal optimism and his forever positive attitude. His legacy will live on.
With much love, Tracey, Meg and Flynn Laker.
