Peacefully surrounded by her loving family, at Hospice Southland on the 23rd of February 2022, aged 74 years. Loved daughter of the late Jim and Maaki Duff. Cherished wife and best friend of Peter. Loving mother and mother in-law of Tania and Marcus Swan, Michelle and David Deepak, PJ Blyth and Steph Freeman, Jay and Sarahjane, Roeli and David Fallow. A private family service has been held. A Memorial gathering to celebrate Hazel’s life will be held at 290 Bain Street, Clifton Invercargill, on the 5th of March 2022 at 2pm. Due to COVID 19, restrictions on the gathering will apply, a vaccine pass will be required to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Southland would be appreciated. Peacefully at Invercargill, on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Aged 80 years. Dearly loved wife of Les. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Gary and Sharon (Otautau), and Raewyn (Melbourne). To all past and present medical staff, caregivers and grounds people at Longwoods Home, our sincere thanks for your love and care of Sheila during her stay with you. The support and care given to Sheila during her last hours in the Medical Ward at Southland Hospital was deeply appreciated. God bless you all. WILSON, Joanne (Jo) (née Prest):
Peacefully on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Hospice Southland. Much loved wife and soulmate of Ricki. Precious Mum to Billie-Marie and Devon. Loved daughter of Billy and Dianne (Bunbury WA) Loved sister of Tracey and Linda. Much loved auntie of Maxx, Jack and Ruby, Haley and Jarrod. Precious granddaughter of Nana and Pop Martin and her many aunties and uncles and cousins. Great friend of Trudy. Heartfelt thanks to all the team at Southland and Dunedin Hospitals. Special thanks to the wonderful team at Hospice Southland. No flowers please, however donations toward Jo’s flowering cherry tree lined driveway, in her memory would be greatly appreciated and can be left at the service. The Service for Jo will be held at J Fraser and Sons, Cnr Esk and Doon Sts, Invercargill, on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, commencing at 2.00pm. Those attending are invited to bring a flower, photo or small memento to place on her casket as a tribute. Due to Covid restrictions attendance at Jo’s funeral is limited to 100 and vaccine passes will be required.
