On Sunday, May 14, 2023, peacefully with family at Windsor Park Care Home, Gore, aged 74, following a long battle with dementia. MERVYN, James Nelson:
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mervyn James Nelson (“Merv”) on Thursday, May 11, 2023. Beloved husband to Tijani; cherished father and father-in-law to Anthony, and Casey, Christie and Clayton, and doting grandfather to Cyrah, Milān, Simone, Evelyn, and Lewis. Merv’s memory lives on through his loved ones. Merv was a brother and brother-in-law to Sheryl, and the late Bronwyn, and John Evans, Merv will also be dearly missed by Joanna, Hemi, Ana and Fernalynn. Dearly loved father and father in law of Lyle and Debbie, Ne’etia, and Kerry and Jody. Adored Grandpa of Ethan, Joel, Mia, Jordan, Jonny; Jonty, Makensie, Breana; Caleb, Jamie and Meila. Johnny was a much loved brother, brother in law and Uncle.
