Of Otautau, passed suddenly on Saturday 13 May 2023, aged 66. Dearly loved husband of Judy. Adored and respected father and best mate, and father-in-law of Bobby and AJ. Dearly missed Grandad of Jayda and Frankie. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Erlene and Neil, Violet and Stephen, Chris, Keith and Delwyn, and Mana; Sally and Gary, Colin, Roger and Wilma, Colleen and Tony. A service to celebrate Roberts life will be held in Otautau Connect on Friday 19 May at 11am followed by interment at Otautau Cemetery. Passed peacefully at Hospice Southland with family on Wednesday, 10th May 2023. Dearly loved Wife, Sister, Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother. A private cremation has been held. LAWLOR, Diane (nee Christie):
On May 15, 2023, at Dunedin Hospital; aged 76 years. Dearly loved wife of Brendan, much loved Mum of Chris, Andrew and Cherry, Mark*, Jenny and Mike, Matt and Teresa, and Adam and Anna, a loved Nana to all of her grandchildren, loved sister and sister-in-law of Colin*, Mary and Brian Robinson, and Ewan*. A celebration of Diane’s life will be held in Campbell and Sons Chapel, 95 Gordon Road, Mosgiel, at 2.00pm on Friday, May 19, followed by private cremation. PAGE, Pauline Mary:
On Sunday, May 14, 2023, peacefully with family at Windsor Park Care Home, Gore, aged 74, following a long battle with dementia. Dearly loved wife of Graham, devoted mum of Nicola and Michael, Jackie and Matthew, Charlotte and Michael. Forever loving Nana to Benjamin, Max, and Luke; George, William, and Isla; Paige, and Freddie. Much loved sister to David and Hallie, and Margaret. Special thanks to the staff at Windsor Park Care Home for the care and support shown to Pauline and her family. A service to celebrate Pauline’s life will be held in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Ardwick Street, Gore, on Friday, May 19, at 2.30pm, thereafter, leaving for the Charlton Park Cemetery. MERVYN, James Nelson:
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mervyn James Nelson (“Merv”) on Thursday, May 11, 2023. Beloved husband to Tijani; cherished father and father-in-law to Anthony, and Casey, Christie and Clayton, and doting grandfather to Cyrah, Milān, Simone, Evelyn, and Lewis. Merv’s memory lives on through his loved ones. Merv was a brother and brother-in-law to Sheryl, and the late Bronwyn, and John Evans, Merv will also be dearly missed by Joanna, Hemi, Ana and Fernalynn. In accordance with Merv’s wishes, a private family service has been held. PENISULA, Ioane Reuelu (Johnny):
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, at Southland Hospital on Sunday 14th May 2023, aged 82 years. Much loved husband of Mavis for 55 years. Dearly loved father and father in law of Lyle and Debbie, Ne’etia, and Kerry and Jody. Adored Grandpa of Ethan, Joel, Mia, Jordan, Jonny; Jonty, Makensie, Breana; Caleb, Jamie and Meila. Johnny was a much loved brother, brother in law and Uncle. A Celebration of Johnny’s life will be held on Thursday 18th May 2023, 10.30am in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, corner Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill. Interment at Eastern Cemetery will follow.
