Passed away peacefully at Clare House, Invercargill, on Saturday 12 October 2019, two days short of her 91st birthday. Beloved wife of the late Robert (Roy), cherished and loving mother and mother-in-law of Russell and Valerie (Myross Bush), Maree and Owen Butcher (Winton), Sandra and Barry Ridder (Cromwell), Sharon Buchanan and Dave Penny, a much loved and adored Nana of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Bill and Jennifer Beattie, and a much loved auntie of all her nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Valmai’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill, on Thursday 17 October at 2.00pm, private cremation to follow. Valmai’s family would like to extend a personal thank you to the staff of Clare House for their love and care (it can’t have been easy at times).
