GRACE, Valmai Jeanne (Val):
Very unexpectedly at Parata Rest Home Gore, latterly of Invercargill. Mum finally got her wish, and passed very peacefully on Sunday 8th May 2022, aged 92 years. Dearly loved mum and Val of Shona and Norman Welsh (Riversdale), and Debbie and Trevor Willetts (Tuatapere). Much loved and loving Nan of Craig and Catherine Welsh, the late Aimee, and Hayley and Evan Orr. Treasured Gran of Sheldon and Travis Welsh; Kimberly, Jacklyn, Leroy and Marcus Orr. A very special thanks to the staff at Parata for their kindness during mum’s short stay. In lieu of flowers donations to St John would be greatly appreciated and can be left at the service. A farewell for Valmai will be held on Thursday 12th May 2022, 1.30pm, J Fraser and Sons Chapel, Corner of Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill. A private cremation will follow. Peacefully, at Enliven Care Centre, Wanaka, on Monday, May 9, 2022, aged 76 years. Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Roger (USA), and Annette and Norm Davis (Waimate), loved Uncle of Guy, Tania, Erik, Ed, Sara, Lisa and their families. Fraser attended John McGlashan College, farmed at Carie, Redan for several years and coached at the Wyndham Rugby Club, before moving to Wanaka where he enjoyed boating and fishing with his mates from Wyndham. Good friends and family often found him a willing host during holiday seasons at Lake Wanaka. R.I.P Fraser – Tight Lines.

Suddenly taken from us on May 6, 2022, aged 47. Adored, one and only, love and soulmate of Amy. Loved Dad and best friend of Olivia, Sam and Jack. Loved only son of Jojo and Gra Sorensen. Adored brother and brother-in-law of Jane and Chris, Emma and Dion, Martha and Guy, Jenny and Frank, Mick and Carla, Kate and Steve. Cherished son-in-law of Helen and Terry O’Meara.
