CRAWFORD, Evelyn Grace (Grace):
Peacefully at Rowena Jackson Retirement Village on Monday, 30th November 2020 with her loving family by her side, aged 81 year. Dearly loved wife of the late Sandy for 57 wonderful years. Loved and respected mother and mother in-law of Russell and Gwenda, Sue and Philip, and Jo and Darryl. Dearly loved Nana/Nan of Hannah and Sam, Alice and Shane, Kate and Demetri, Alex, Mike, Tania and Daniel, Kevin*, Mark and Bethany and Great Nana Grace of Charlotte, Ben, Mitchell, Lincoln, Max, Isla, and Leo. Dearly loved friend of Jenny. A graveside service for Grace will be held in the Tapanui Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Tapanui on Friday, 4th December at 1:30pm. GARRETT, Malcolm William:
Passed away on November 28, 2020, in Motueka, aged 83. Dearly loved husband of ‘Betty’, of 60 years; ‘Dad’ of Trish and Dave, John and Lorraine, Rob and Vicki, and Marian and Alec; Grandpa ‘Chook’ of Damien, Emma, Victoria, Jacob, Sam, Isaac, Ben, Brenton, Katie, Timo, and Areta; and Great-grandad of Addison, Carter, Hudson, Theo, and Dorian. The Funeral Mass to celebrate Malcolm’s life will be held in the St Peter Chanel Church, 423 High Street, Motueka, on Friday, December 4, 2020, at 11.00am.

GILSON, Kathleen Joy (Joy) nee Field:
After a long struggle with cancer, Joy peacefully passed away at home  “on the hill”  in Bluff on Sunday 29/11/20 aged 86, surrounded by her loving family. Loved daughter of the late Tom and May Field.  Adored soulmate and loving wife for 66 years of Ronald William Gilson and most loved and cherished mother, and mother-in-law of Vicky Young and Cindy and Peter Marshall.
Devoted, proud and loved Nan of Kylie Young, Karyna Young and Ben Rowe (Raglan) and Clay and Marina Young (Melbourne, Australia).

MILLER, Pauline Frances (nee Gardiner):
Sadly after a courageous battle with cancer, at home with her family, on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, aged 67 years. Loved wife of the late Horace, treasured mother and Nana of Doc (Raymond) and Nicole, Ben, Libby, Jake and Shinea and the late Reeves; Ang and Frank, Gemma, Kaylee; Jo and Scott, Bella, Eve, Heidi; Steve (Stephen) and Susan, Thomas, Chloe, Alec, Jade, and Olivia. ‘If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever’.
A service to celebrate Pauline’s life will be held in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel, 106 Hokonui Drive, Gore, on Saturday, December 5, at 11.00am, private interment to follow. The Miller family would like to thank Helen Glynn from Hospice Southland, Gore Health District nurses and all the Healthcare NZ workers for their exceptional care and kindness. MITCHELL, Bruce Petersen:
It is with much sadness we announce Bruce’s passing after a couple of tough days, surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Southland Hospital. Aged 91 years young. Loving husband of Grace for 65 years. Loving father and father-in-law of Carol Armstrong (Wanaka), Ron and Julie Mitchell (Gore), Ken and Pam Mitchell (Te Anau), Anne and Paul Cooper (Wanaka), Jeff Mitchell (Gore), Jill and Jonathan Larrivee (Te Anau/Dunedin). Cherished grandad Bruce to Eli, Carrie, Hannah, Heidi, Lance, Jenny, Nicola, Maegan, Michael, Alex, Leigh, Jade, Sean, Scott, Ryan, Mandy, Jackson, Patrick, Thomas and Dylan. Great grandad to Jordan, Riley, Oscar, Leo, Audrey, Anna, Hunter, Georgia, Briar, Hunter, Issy and Grace. Much respected and loyal friend of the Raihania Whanau. A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held at the Gore RSA Function Lounge, Bowler Avenue, Gore, on Monday, December 7 at 1.00pm, the funeral leaving thereafter for the Mataura Cemetery.
