HESSELIN, Alexander Reko (Mick):
Passed peacefully after a brief illness at Hospice Southland, on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, aged 86 years. Loved son of Fred and Nina Hesselin, brother of Ian Hesselin, Don Hesselin, and little brother of Gloria McIntosh. (All deceased) Adored uncle Mick of his nieces, nephews, and their families. At Mick’s request a private cremation has been held. A celebration of Mick’s life will take place at the Ascot Park Hotel (Waiau Room) at 2.00pm on Saturday, January 21, 2023. WILSON Valerie Joyce (McPherson) nee Grieve (Joyce):
Passed away peacefully at Rowena Jackson, Invercargill on the 26th December 2022 aged 85 years. Dearly loved wife the late Bill Wilson and loved wife of the late Russell McPherson. Loved and treasured Mum of Darryl, and Nigel McPherson, loved mother-in-law of Claire McPherson, loved Nana of Mike, Paige, Danielle, Stuart, Bailey, and Mia. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Lewis Grieve, Andrew and the late Eileen Murray, John and Ethel Johnston, Morrie and Valmai Grieve. Loved Aunty to many and dear friend of Terry. Special thanks to the staff at Rowena Jackson and SDHB for their care and attention. A service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, Corner Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill on Friday 30th December at 10.00am.
