After a short illness Alan passed away peacefully with family at his side on Sunday 18th September 2022, aged 78 years. Dearly loved husband of Pam*. Much loved father and friend of Richard and Janine. Loved Grandad of Todd and Rachel, Nicholas and Sara. Friend of Karen, Richard G and Sunny. HAWKES, Jeffrey Charles (Jeff):
24.03.1959 – 18.09.2022
After a courageous long battle, his fight is over, and Jeff is now at peace. Jeff passed away on September 18, 2022, at Peacehaven Village surrounded by his loving family at his side. Son of the late David and Beverly Hawkes of Invercargill. Best friend and devoted husband of Glenys for 44 years. Much loved and devoted Dad and father-in-law of Nicole, Kylie, Daniel, and Paula. Adored and special Grandad of his grandchildren, and his only great-grandchild little Odin. Youngest brother and brother-in-law of Barrie and Rosemary, Kelvin and Marion.

A service to celebrate Jeff’s life will be held at the Invercargill Methodist Community Centre, Lindisfarne Street, Invercargill, on Thursday, September 22, commencing at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation. McDOWELL, William Aitken (Bill):
At Wyndham Rest Home on September 20, 2022. Aged 88 years. Father of Glen, Baden and Glen. A graveside service for Bill will be held at Tautapere Cemetery on Friday, September 23, 2022, commencing at 2.00pm.

OLPHERT, Thomas Selwyn:
Of Invercargill. Passed suddenly at home on Friday 16 September 2022, aged 73. Beloved husband of the late Carolyn. Dearly loved Dad of Darryl and Aaron. Treasured Poppa of Mollie, Nick; Kaia, and Connor. Special brother-in-law of Diedre. Special Poppa and friend of Haley, Cohen, and Evie. Loved brother of Jan, Adrienne, and Val. A service to honour Tom’s life will be held in J Fraser & Sons’ Chapel, cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill on Friday 23 September at 2pm followed by interment at Eastern Cemetery. We are devastated at the sudden passing of Wiriana. Loved father, brother and uncle. Woodz will be resting at the homestead in Tuatapere until Saturday. A service will be held at Monkey Island Cemetery at 1pm – to lay this warrior to rest.
