Passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019, aged 94. Loved wife of the late Andrew Callanan. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Sue and Alan Rose, Virginia Callanan and Lawrence McDonald, Judy and Robert Vercoe, Rosemary and Ian Wiffin. A loved and cherished Grandma of Kate, and Sarah Rose; Robin, and Beck McDonald; Andrew, Richard, Maxine, and Al Vercoe; Joshua, and Mitchell; and Caitlin Wiffin, and a special great-grandma to James Vercoe. A loved sister of Lenore Mathieson. Special thanks to Marg and staff at Albany House for their wonderful care of Betty. In accordance with Betty’s wishes a private cremation has been held. CASEY, David Robert (Davi).
Aged 16 years. (Unexpectedly) on Monday, November 18, 2019 at home. Much loved son of Kevin and Lesley Kim Casey. Adored little “big” brother of Sara, Melissa, Kharissa, Serena, and Nick. Loved grandson of Robert* and Joy* Casey, Janette* Hoskins, Frank Kimbal and Lesley Medley. Loving uncle of his nieces and nephews, and a loved cousin.

A service for David will be held in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Ardwick Street, Gore, on Monday, November 25 at 1.00pm, leaving thereafter for the Fortrose Cemetery arriving approximately 4.00pm. 10.9.1932 – 19.11.2019
Peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Windsor Park Retirement Village, Gore, aged 87 years. Loved wife of the late Reid, loved mother and mother-in-law of Chris, Kathryn and Chris, Murray and Ainslie, and loved Loisy and Gran of Bridget, Claire, Anna, Emily, and Sarah. Loved sister of Margaret Currie, loved sister-in-law of Margery and the late Brian Bennett, and Auntie of Andrew, Cheryl, Kaye, John and David.

JONES, Russell Louis.
Suddenly at Southland Hospital on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, aged 77 years.  Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Karen & Patrick Flint (Australia), and Warren & Joy Jones (Arrowtown/Dunedin).  Loved grandad of Morgan, Wade & Sarah, Hannah-Ray & Christiann, and Zach & Abbie.  A great-grandad of Clayton, and Alexander.  Loved brother of Mervyn & Estelle, and Valmai & John*.  Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews.  Loved partner of Daph.  A service to celebrate Russell’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill on Friday, November 22, at 1:00pm, the service will conclude with the interment at the Eastern Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be left at the service.  The family would like to thank the staff of the Critical Care Unit, Southland Hospital for their care of Russell.  Messages to 71 West Street, Invercargill 9810. avenalpark.co.nz

Peacefully with her loving family at her side and in the care of Vickery Court Rest Home on Tuesday, 19th November 2019, aged 98 years.  Dearly loved wife of the late Percival (Snow) Rees.  Dearly loved mother of Ken*, Wayne and Colleen Emmerson, Jocelyn Depree (nee Emmerson), Trever and Glyn Emmerson, Brent and Sandy Rees, Evan and Anne Rees and loved step-mum of David Rees, and Andrew* Rees.  Dearly loved Nana Joy-Bells of all her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and her extended family.  A service to celebrate Joy’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill on Saturday, 23rd November at 10:00am, the service will conclude with the interment at the Eastern Cemetery.  Messages to 113 Matai Place, Invercargill 9810.
