CLEAVER, Richard Albert John. On March 19, 2019 peacefully at Oamaru Hospital. Aged 81 years. Dearly loved husband of Shirley and the late Doreen, much loved father and father-in-law of Dianne and Ross (Christchurch), Lilly (Australia,) Kay and Ian (Oamaru), Paul and Alexis (Invercargill), Lyn and Des (Auckland), and the late Murray. Loved granddad of Sarah, James, Ricky, Travis, Tony, Ebony, Quinton, and Xavier. Loved friend to Shirley’s family Wayne, Brian, and Shona and their families, Shaun, Mark, Mason, Claire, Jack, Tom, Nick, Tegan, Danielle and Gina, and loved great-granddad of all his great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate Richard’s life will be held at the Weston Community Church, 48 Main Street, Weston, tomorrow, Friday, March 22, commencing at 1.30pm, followed by interment at the Oamaru Lawn Cemetery. GIBBONS, Shane David (Scrub). The result of an accident in the Hollyford Valley on Monday, March 18, 2019, aged 50 years. Best and dearest loved soulmate of Bridget, loved father of Jack and Janey, and eldest son of Ann and the late Bob Gibbons. A service for Scrub will be held at his home, Whare Creek, 2211 Blackmount-Redcliff Rd, Te Anau, on Saturday, March 23, at 1.00pm, private cremation to follow. GRAY, Alister Derek (Wizzy). J18385 Abel Seaman RNZN. In his 70th year. (Peacefully) after a long and courageous battle on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, surrounded by his loving family at home, Mataura. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Sue. Much loved Dad and father-in-law of Kaylee and Jock McNally (Oturehua), Paul and Beth (Gore). Requiem Mass for Alister will be celebrated in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Ardwick Street, Gore, on Tuesday, March 26, at 11.00am, then leaving for the Mataura Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be left at the service for the Gore Hospital Family Room. Rosary will be recited in the Church on Monday evening at 6.00pm. KING, Donald William (Don). Formerly of Mosgiel; On March 19, 2019, peacefully, at Marne Street Hospital, Dunedin; aged 87 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Daphne, loved father and father-in-law of Douglas (Doug), Gordon and Vicky, Norman and Gail (Christchurch), Malcolm and Gillian (Christchurch), and Lance and Theresa, and a much loved grandfather and uncle. TIMMS, Laura Mai (Mai) (nee Cloughley). Unexpectedly at Dunedin Public Hospital on Thursday, March 14, 2019, aged 82 years. Dearly loved wife of Noel for 62 years, much loved and cherished mother and mother-in-law of John and Rose, the late Julie, the late Stephen, and Janine. Loved sister and sister-in-law of the Cloughley and Timms families cherished Aunty and friend to many. In accordance with Mai’s wishes a private family service has been held.
