FOSTER, Elizabeth Sarah (Betty).
On October 15, 2019, peacefully at Leslie Groves Home and Hospital; aged 82 years. Dearly loved wife and best friend of Fred, treasured Mum of Colin and Vicki (Alexandra), Sharyn and Ross Wilson, and Craig and Nichola, much loved Nana Betty to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a loved sister of Andy and Daphne Lamont. Betty’s family would like to thank the staff of Maybank and Leslie Groves for their loving care. A Memorial Service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held in Campbell and Sons Chapel, 95 Gordon Road, Mosgiel, at 1.30pm, on Friday, October 18.

HAWKINS, Samuel Weymouth (Sam).
On October 16, 2019. Dad’s final race has been won – the final dash down the last furlong to the home straight was a long one. Loved husband of the late Mildred, loved dad of Jack (Wendy) and her partner Tia, a loved grandad and pop of Shannon (Hosa) and Andy, and great-grandpop to Stevie Autumn. A race day memorial service for Sam, to celebrate his winning post, will be held on Monday, October 21, 2019, at 1.30pm, in the South Otago Town and Country Club, Yarmouth Street, Balclutha. HUNT, Lucy Ann (nee Jones).
Peacefully in the care of Ascot Care Home on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, aged 96. Dearly loved wife of the late Cyril, and loved mother and mother-in-law of Les and Hazel (Rockhampton); Judy and Ken Lawrie; Susie and Nik Vaalele (Sydney). Loved nana of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and loved aunty of her nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the staff on Waikaia Wing and Dr T Luecker for your care. A service to celebrate Lucy’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, on Monday, October 21, at 11.00am. The service will conclude with a private cremation. Passed away peacefully in the loving care of Parata Rest Home, Gore, on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, aged 95 years. Dearly loved daughter of the late James and Mary Waddell, loved sister and sister-in-law of *Josie, *Bill and *Marge Hewitt; *Clare and *Ivan Brass, *Kath, *Val and *Ray O’Brien, *Jim and *Anne Waddell, and cherished Aunty Rona of the Brass, Hewitt, O’Brien and Waddell families. On Monday, October 14, 2019, suddenly, as a result of an accident, aged 70. Loved wife, for 49 years, of Ralph. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Janine and Steve, Nat and Ali, Jeremy and Barbara, Phil and Lucy. Loved Nan of Kiri, Cullen, Matthew, Albert, Reuben, Clara and Raffa. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Marian and Simon, David and Karel, Graham and Jill, Anton and Bron, Jenni, and Robyn. A much loved aunty to all her nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Jan will be held in the Presbyterian Maori Mission Hall, King Street (next to the Fire Station), Opotiki, on Saturday, October 19 at 11.00am, followed by a private cremation.
