AITCHISON, Robert James:
16.09.1948 – 12.06.2022
With love and fond memories the family remembers Robert whom died at home on June 12, 2022, aged 73 years. Forever loved husband and soulmate of Jackie. Loved and respected Dad to Angela, Tracey, Mark and father-in-law to Steve, Grant and Cushla. Fun loving Grandad to Hayden and James, Zac and Max, and dear brother of Jane.
A bravely fought battle
but the last mountain
was just too hard.
Returned Home to “Treliske” where he will be at Peace, amongst the Hills and Trees , he loved.
A Private Family Service has been held. The family sincerely acknowledges the caring service of the Roxburgh District nurses, (especially Michelle and Jane) Doctor (Ruth) and Otago Hospice. Donations in lieu of tributes to Otago Hospice would be gratefully appreciated.

CUNNINGHAM, Russell John (Sneaky Meat):
On Tuesday June 14, 2022 at Rowena Jackson Village. Russ passed away aged 69 years. Dearly loved husband of Andree. Much loved father and father-in-law of Kate and Kylie Tiriaere, and Alex and Samantha. Proud Grandad of Madeline, George, Oliver and Cerys. A service for Russ will be held in the Waiau Room, Ascot Hotel, Invercargill, at 1.30pm, on Tuesday June 21. Private cremation thereafter. Sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at Rowena Jackson Special Care Unit for their dedicated and loving care of Russ. CURRY, Michael David:
Passed away peacefully with family by his side, at Hospice Southland on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.
Loved son of the late Isobel and Bernie Curry (late of Heriot). Loved father of Daniel (Australia) and dearly loved friend of Judy. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Anne and John Robertson, Patrick and Karen, Susan and Kim Booth. Loved uncle of Jamie and Rebecca, Natasha and Amanda and great-uncle of Kyrin, the late Hunter and Jackson. A service to celebrate Michael’s life will be held in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, Cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill on Saturday, June 18 at 10.00am. Peacefully at home on June 12, 2022. Loved partner of Stuart Collie, and loved wife of the late Patrick Doherty. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Maree and Donald Fleck; John Doherty and Maureen Anderson; Paul Doherty; and the late Anna Doherty, Much loved Nanny of Emma and Liam Howley, Katie Fleck, Fianna Doherty, Patrick Dohertry. Loved sister of the late Bill Oliver. The funeral service for Marian will be held at J Fraser and Sons Chapel, Cnr Esk and Doon St, Invercargill, on Monday, June 20, 2022, commencing at 10.30am. STUART, David:
Peacefully at home with Mary on April 10, 2020. Aged 85yrs. Dearly loved husband of Mary. Loved father and father in law of Simon and Sharon (Armidale NSW) and Niall and Kingkarn (Pattaya Thailand) . Much loved grandad of Tahlia Liam Aleesha and Kieran. R.I.P. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St Theresa of Lisieux Catholic Church, Perth Street, at 1.30pm, on Saturday June 18 followed by the unveiling of David’s headstone at the Eastern Cemetery.

WINTERINGHAM, Doreen:
Dearly loved wife of the late John Winteringham. Passed peacefully at the Southland Hospice on June 13, 2022. A special thanks to all the wonderful staff at Hospice for all the care and support they provided. Beloved mother to Yvonne and Paul, Beverley and Warren, Stephen and Rochelle. A very much loved friend and companion to Rickey. Adored Nana, great-nana and great-great-nana to all her grandchildren. A private service has been held with Doreen’s family.
