DOLAN, Catherine June (June):
Of Cromwell and formerly Orawia. Peacefully at Diana Isaac Retirement Village, Christchurch, on Monday, April 11, 2022, aged 77 years. Loved wife of the late Graeme, loved mother and mother-in-law to Paul and Kath, Shane and Ruth, Dean and Agnes and Stephen. Cherished Grandma of all her grandchildren. A Rosary for June will be held on Monday, April 18, at 5.00pm, followed by Requiem Mass on Tuesday, April 19, at 1.00pm, in the Irish Martyrs Catholic Church, 5 Sligo Street, Cromwell. ELLENDEN, Damon Karl:
Sadly, we would like to announce the passing of our Damon, on Sunday, April 10, 2022, in the care of Calvary Rest Home, aged 51 years. Dearly loved husband of Irene, respected father of Josh, and loved grandfather of Avah. Loved son of Vern and Lynda, and brother and brother-in-law of Karl and Judy, Kelley, and Lisa*. Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews, and a great mate to Chris, and Gene, and a friend to many. A service to celebrate Damon’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, on Saturday, April 16 at 9.30am, the service will conclude with the interment at the Eastern Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Huntington’s Foundation would be appreciated and may be left at the service. VALENTINE, Alva Doreen:
Much loved mother of Elaine and Nana of Karalyn, Tinaka and Andrew Niven. Passed away on April 15, 1976. Mum was joined by our father, Noel Valentine (dec) on August 22, 2015.
A shadowy figure to my right,
I turn to look but it’s out of sight.
Is that your reflection in the mirror I see?
I look closer, no, it’s only me.
Unsure now what was ever real,
But you are the piece that fits this void I feel.
